ABOUT SEAN:

We’re excited to welcome Sean to the WA SURF instructor crew this season!

Originally from California, USA, Sean grew up immersed in the coastal lifestyle, spending his early years surfing and sailing competitively at regional and state levels. His time on the water gave him a deep understanding of wind, waves, and safety - the perfect foundation for his transition into kitesurfing.

After moving to Florida for college, Sean discovered kitesurfing as the ideal blend of surfing, sailing, and adrenaline. His background in both sports made picking up the kite natural, combining strong board control with technical wind awareness.

In 2021, Sean became an IKO-certified instructor after completing his training in the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. Since then, he’s spent his summers teaching kitesurfing back in California, using his experience to create engaging, confidence-building lessons for students of all levels. With his collegiate sailing coaching background, Sean is skilled at breaking down complex techniques and helping riders progress safely while having fun on the water.

We’re stoked to have Sean join the WA SURF team, bringing his U.S. coastal energy, technical know-how, and passion for helping others experience the freedom of kiting.
