Lowdown

It's all included, don't panic! We are the ORIGINAL Perth surf camp, so don't be fooled by imitations. With our new boards and wetsuits, it's never been easier to learn.

The extras

Sandboarding and a Kitesurfing taster session, only with WA Surf on our 2 day tour.

The finer points

• WA Surf goes harder...we take you sandboarding and give you a kitesurfing demo/taster as part of the tour
• Time for over 7 hours of lessons per day if you have the stamina. We hit the beach first thing for a mega session, then it's a very relaxing and slow lunch/siesta. Our instructors will pick the best times to fit everything else in and also get you out in the best surf conditions of the day. We even go night sandboarding when the moon is full *hooooowwl*
• Surf skills: our instructor team has over 10,000 hours of teaching behind them, and we keep up with the latest developments. We will get you surfing to your highest possible standard in these 2 days. There is enough time and our group sizes are small enough to give you plenty of personal tuition

• The sandboarding is seriously fun. We take you to these giant dunes just behind town
• Kitesurfing taster: it's not a full-on lesson, but a nice little demo. Gives you an idea of this sport Perth is famous for, plus you get a 2 for 1 voucher for a lesson with us back in Perth
• It's the vibe, man...our surf camp is famous for its great vibe, fun times and giant bean bags under the stars. A great climate for lazing after a hard day's surfing
• Dolphins! Yes, dolphins, everybody's favourite mammal. We don't mean to boast but 9 out of 10 tours we see these creatures — sometimes they even surf with us
• This is an ASI-accredited surf school camp

Food, Glorious Food (Yes, on our tour dinner is INCLUDED!)

You are going to burn up a lot of energy on this tour, but don't despair! We are famous for our super food and heaps of it. Please note we do supply breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, tea, coffee and other snacks. If you are after alcoholic refreshments at the end of the day, we organise a lift for you to the local bottleshop. We suggest that you bring a bottle of drinking water with you for the first day so we can get straight out of the bus and onto the beach. After that, iced water and cordial are available on tap.

Learn to Surf with an ASI-accredited surf school and camp

If you don't see the ASI logo for your surf school or camp, this means that they could not pass the ultra-high standards required by this international Surfing Standard.

Learn to Surf at Lancelin

Why Lancelin? Well the West Australian coastline is generally sheltered by offshore reefs that block out most of the summer swell. Lancelin is one of those "pockets" that has a break in the reef allowing nice swells to massage the sandy beaches creating ideal Learn to Surf conditions. This creates much longer, safer and easier waves than you generally find in Perth.

It's also a great little Aussie town, with friendly locals, a laid-back atmostphere and it's only just over 1 hour's drive from downtown Perth.

What's included?

Everything is included on your tour. There is no more to pay and all the equipment and food is first class.

The accommodation

In summer, we operate the "good vibes" surf camp at the Lancelin Caravan Park.

The lessons

We boast a 100% success rate to get you not just standing up but surfing and progressing with an understanding of what you are doing - right or wrong. Our ASI courses are accredited by the Australia Department of Education and WA Surf is an Australian Sports Commission AASC provider. But most importantly, we are very experienced and extremely conscientious. No two days on the beach are the same. We will show you the best spot to surf and why, dangers to look out for and the easiest and fastest way to progress.
