KITESURFING

2 week Beginner to Intermediate
For the total beginner or with limited experience, this is the total immersion course to get you up to intermediate level. 10 full days of IKO instruction and training starting on training kites and getting you well beyond level 3 IKO. On this course we do nothing but kitesurfing skills, all equipment included. AUD $1,670

2 week Intermediate to IKO Assistant Instructor
Starting at this stage you should be able to land a basic jump. A first aid course and the IKO Assistant's course is included during these 2 weeks, the remainder of the time is spent working side by side with our Level 2 instructors to make sure you are taught the absolute best practice. You will also undertake advanced 1 on 1 training and participate in organised downwinders. AUD $1,800

4 week Beginner to IKO Assistant Instructor
Simply a combination of the above 2 courses. AUD $3,470

1 week IKO Assistant Instructors Certificate
Have all the skills and your own first aid certificate but no qualifications or teaching experience? This 5 day course includes everything you need to make you fully certified and job ready. The dates for these courses are simply the final week Monday to Friday of the 2 week course. AUD $510 with accommodation, $300 without.

Please note there are no 6 week options with the IKO Assistant Instructors Course.

These courses are based around a competent, fit person with a genuine passion for kitesurfing and teaching; such a person would very easily pass all of the requirements. Should you not pass due to your skill level, you are welcome to undertake further skills development at the rate of $165 per day including accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION
You are provided with accommodation on the night before your course starts right through to the night when it finishes.

ORIENTATION AND TRANSPORT
You are greeted by us on your start date at the Billabong Backpackers Resort at 10am, and we look after you from there. This accommodation is in the heart of Perth City. The Perth airport shuttle will take you door to door for just $15.

Safety Bay/Rockingham is some 40km from Perth City, but there is a new Metro line that takes you right there in just 30 minutes. Your train fare is included in your package price. Each train is met by a connecting bus, for the 5km journey to our centre. One of our staff members will be with you for the first few days of your course to make sure you know exactly where to go.

WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION ON-SITE?
Simply, Perth City is the best option for nightlife, availability and cost. You will be pleasantly surprised by the speed, efficiency and frequency of the new train system.

NON-ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
You are welcome to source your own accommodation and a large discount applies. A list of Safety Bay accommodation can be found here. For this option, please note that you will be responsible for making your own way to and from the centre, but there are a number of places within walking distance. Also please note that we may go to a couple of other beaches around Perth during your course. In this event you will need to catch the train closer to Perth and we will pick you up from the nearest station. Please deduct the amount of $35 per night if you are using your own accommodation.

WHAT ISN’T INCLUDED?
Food and personal entertainment — this is the only other cost you will have for the course. A full kitchen is based in the accommodation and there are numerous food outlets down at the centre in Safety Bay.

Wetsuit and harness, personal items, but please note if you do not have either of these when you turn up we will lend them to you for the start of the course. You can then purchase a new one off us at a discounted rate.

COURSE DURATION AND DAYS OFF
The course runs Monday to Friday with the weekends off, start times vary depending on the wind conditions but we aim for 6-8 hours per day at the centre. The customer does need to be flexible however as we will always take advantage of the best conditions. Should a day be postponed during the week due to the weather, we will carry that day forward to the next weekend. It is up to the customer to make themselves available for that day — any adjustments are contained to 1 week periods, the courses will always finish on the allotted Friday.
