LESSON STRUCTURE AND HOW MANY?
We call 3 x 2 hour lessons our zero to hero course and it's pretty accurate, this will take you from a complete beginner up to being able to continue learning safely by yourself. Below is a hugely summarized description of our lessons:-
LESSON 1 Introduction to Kitesurfing Starts of with some basic theory and flying a small training kite, progresses quickly to setting up a full size kite and flying this on the water. Launching, landing, emergency and safety procedures. This is a very intensive lesson with a lot of information and techniques to learn.
LESSON 2 Body Dragging This is essentially kitesurfing without a board, letting the power of the kite pull you through the water and is incredibly good fun. We show you techniques to use your body to even be able to tack upwind without a board.
LESSON 3 Board Skills How to harness all that kitepower and get you up and going on a board, by the end of this lesson most of our customers have done a few 50 to 100 metre runs and are bringing it all together.
GROUP OR PRIVATE For us, group means 2 students with 1 instructor and private 1 on 1, the private lessons are just $40 more per lesson and are the better way to go.
THE GEAR
All equipment is provided and we have a large range of kites to cater for nearly all conditions. Wetsuits can be hired at $10 per hour or purchased in store starting from just $139.
THE LOCATION
Safety Bay is billed as being one of the best places in the world to learn kitesurfing. It honestly doesn't get any better. It is Perth's safest, easiest and fastest learning location. There is a large sandbar that stretches out for kilometres, so your lesson is conducted in waist deep water with your instructor right next to you. This is a vast advantage over all other Perth schools which are forced to do lessons in deep water and must rely on one way radio headsets to communicate.

We operate 7 days per week, and are already open for the 2011-12 season.
THE INSTRUCTORS
We have had the pick of the litter when it comes to instructors. Everyone is IKO or BKSA (or both) certified and highly experienced instructors and riders. So wether you are just starting out or you are looking to do learn hardcore freestyle moves we will have the instructor for you.
WHAT WE RECOMMEND TO REALLY GET YOU KITING
Just enroll in lesson 1 and you will learn so much that you will be able to make a very informed decision how to move forward from there, you will not lose out on our free lesson deal or the zero to hero discount when you continue.
If you know you want to take up the sport, purchase the 1 on 1, Zero to Hero course, the conditions for the $600 lesson rebate are just that you purchase a kite, board and harness package off us at normal recommended retail prices before the 3rd lesson, i.e. not in conjunction with any other specials. Best results are achieved if you practice kite flying on your own after the second lesson and before the third.
Don't space things out to long, try and get the lessons done in a 2 week period then hit the water hard to get your skills up.
